On Wednesday I got a call from Taylor’s mom asking if I could go down to Sullivans Island for a special shoot. At that point I began texting Phillip about the plans and how I was to pretend to be a reporter wanting to do a story on his clothing line, Southern Bro. That was our only chance for Taylor not to be suspicious. So, I meet Taylor and Phillip on the Island and we start walking over to the lighthouse where the big surprise is going to take place. I am doing my best to keep the conversation going about them, avoiding any chance for Taylor to ask me any questions. She did ask me one question that I totally blew but she still was surprised when Phillip got down on one knee. She, at one point, screamed, “Is this real, Is this real life?” As you can tell from the photos, SHE SAID YES!
Amy and Jay are such a nice couple and they really are soooo in love with one another. When you get each one of them alone, they just can’t avoid bragging about the other. We had a great time with Amy and Jay last night and really enjoyed meeting their families as well. The Beach Club over at Lithcfield By The Sea looked great and the flowers done by the Greenskeeper Florist really went well with the decor. The bouqet was beautiful and cake was so classy, and of course, delicious, made by Pawleys Island Bakery. The Dj was Scott and Company, it was my first time working with him and I really hope to meet up again in the future. He did a great job at keeping the dance floor full and really knew what songs the guests liked. Oh and did I mention that the food done by Carefree Catering was top notch? Well it was.
I spent the slow time this winter coming up with new products, new albums sizes and new packaging to really bring my business up a notch. Photos to come of my new packaging but for now here is the new 5×7 handout I will be sharing with potential clients. And if you found this blog first, be sure to check out our new site. http://www.middlechildphotography.com/index2.php#!/HOME

Amber and Jody, surrounded by their closest friends and family, had a beautiful ceremony on the beach at the Embassy Suites, Kingston Plantation. The reception immediately followed inside and the black and white decor looked terrific. Debbie Idol from Events on the Half Shell helped the bride and groom with planning and day of coordinating. Great looking flowers done by the Little Shop of Flowers. Amber and Jody were a real fun couple and if laughter is really the key to a great marriage then these two have it in the bag.

I hadn’t had the opportunity to meet Tera and Steven until the day of their wedding since they were here all the way from California. As soon as we walked in both of them made us feel so at home, as if we had met several times. The enitre night was extrememly laid back and everything was perfect, from the weather, the cake, the chocolate fountains (well, the white chocolate one needed some tlc but it was fine) These two are so good together and we wish them nothing but the best in the future as they begin their lives as husband and wife.

Stacie and Mark came with a small group of family all the way from West Virginia for a romantic beach wedding. They picked a beautiful night with a perfect ocean breeze.
